Pacific Readiness for Investment in Social Enterprise (Pacific RISE) is a pilot program implemented by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to facilitate social impact investment in the Pacific. Tetra Tech International Development manages Pacific RISE on behalf of DFAT.
Tetra Tech Coffey undertook a desktop environmental assessment review of social and community development initiatives in various Pacific Island countries, including the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Samoa to determine whether projects in the Pacific RISE current investment portfolio complied with Australian and local environmental legislation.
A two-stage environmental due diligence process was designed to assist Tetra Tech International Development and Pacific RISE to proactively identify and manage the potential environmental impacts of the supported enterprises most appropriate to the scale of the individual project.

- Identified and reviewed applicable provisions under relevant statutory legislations, policies and guidelines for both Australia and the relevant country for each project.
