In 2023 ALGA have announced the Dr Sarah Richards Award, in honour of Dr Sarah Richards, a geoenvironmental engineer, contaminated land and groundwater practitioner, and ALGA President, who passed away on 24 May 2023.
Along with her contribution to Tetra Tech, Sarah’s career expanded 28 years, which included returning to higher education to complete her PhD. Sarah was a strong advocate for continued research in the contaminated land and groundwater field.
In 2023 ALGA is seeking nominations from individuals across the industry, who are either currently undertaking research or planning to undertake research in the field of contaminated land and groundwater or in an area that would support the contaminated land and groundwater industry.
The deadline to nominate is Friday 15 September 11:59pm AEST.
The winner will be announced at the Conference Dinner at ecoforum/SustRem 2023 on Thursday, 12 October 2023.
