Supporting infrastructure and construction oversight for a new 1000-student public school and its surrounding area in New South Wales
This project included the construction of a new 1000-student K-6 public school at Bella Vista, in response to the projected enrolment growth in the local government area. The school features 40 home bases and associated core facilities, as well as a new full-sized synthetic sports field and a communal double basketball court sports hall.
The facilities were delivered as part of a shared facilities agreement with the Hills Shire Council. The project also included both upgraded and new road infrastructure to accommodate the growing population.
As the school is on a greenfield site, Tetra Tech Coffey worked diligent with representatives from surrounding schools to ensure the best design outcomes were incorporated into the new school design. Tetra Tech Coffey was also instrumental in the development of agreements for shared facilities with the local Council resulting in benefits to both the school and the local community.
