We are thrilled to announce that one of our emerging professionals, Geotechnical Engineer Liam Smith, presented his Technical Poster at the 2024 Sydney Chapter of the Australian Geomechanics Society’s Young Geotechnical Professionals’ Night (YGPN) in Sydney.
Liam’s poster, titled “Strategies for Developing Ground Models for Early Career Professionals” aimed to share with industry colleagues the reasons why establishing ground models provides the basis for technical analysis and is an essential tool for any geotechnical engineer.
Liam explains, “By developing appropriate ground models, you can ensure that you are identifying relevant geotechnical hazards and analysing the right problems.”
